Overview
San Pedro de Atacama is the base for exploring the many attractions of the zone, with a wide selection of hotels and restaurants. San Pedro is considered the Archaeological Capital of Chile because it is the Atacama (or Likanantai) center, with Pukara de Quitor and a large number of adobe structures typical of the area. San Pedro is the starting point to see the Atacama Salt Flat, the biggest salt deposit in Chile at 100 km long, the Puritama Hot Springs, with large pools of warm water flowing through the rocks, the Tatio Geyser, which is a geothermal field connected to the Tatio volcano, where jets of steam emerge from pits of boiling water, or to simply enjoy a night observing the stars, and also to see the beautiful Miscanti and Meñiques highland lakes.

Half Day City tour Santiago
Santiago is a mixture between the old and the modern, characteristic that we invite you to know. Our tour through Santiago will show the immensity of the city, its varied geography and civility. We will guide you through Plaza de Armas, Main square of Santiago, where the cathedral, main post office and city hall are located. You will be told about the origins of our city. Next stop is the civic neighborhood and the surroundings of La Moneda government palace. After that we´ll drive through some of the old neighborhoods of Santiago, like Republica and Concha y Toro. Later we will visit the eastern part of the city and we’ll see the modern buildings and the changes that they have brought to the neighborhood. We finish our tour in a handicraft store, located in an exclusive neighborhood, where we’ll appreciate with a Pisco Sour, Lapizlazuli masterpieces, made with this stone that just exists in Chile and Afghanistan.

We will learn about the customs and traditions of the different cultures that lived in the area by visiting the most notable archaeological sites such as Tudor and Pukará de Quitor. Full Day Salt Flat & Altiplanic lagoons Miscanti and Miñiques Lakes, located at 4,220 meters, are also part of the National Reserve, and are managed by the indigenous community of Socaire. The eruption of the Miñiques volcano one million years ago caused the water that once drained to the Salt Flat to stagnate, giving rise to these two highland lakes with their blue water and white shores.

FULL DAY tour Tatio Geysers.
We leave at dawn from San Pedro de Atacama Hotel to go to the Tatio Geysers, a geothermal center with geysers that can only be seen very early in the morning. After seeing this spectacular sight in a magnificent natural setting, we eat breakfast. On the way back, we see the majestic Andes mountain range, whose peaks seem close enough to touch.

The excursion Start around 8 am and the first destiny is the Milodon Cave where in 1895 were found parts of a prehistoric animal known as milodon, so you have to be ready to take your first pictures, nowadays there is a replica of this mamale inside of the cave and also you will find clear information about the geological process formation of the cave. Then we go straight to the national park to start to watch the first landscapes as laguna Azul due to intense colour it was called so, this lake is located 40 minutes before to arrive to the main entrance to the park “Laguna Amarga” here visitors can take a rest, to watch the area and also keep taking pictures in the same place is possible to watch the Torres del Paine, Cuernos del Paine and Almirante Nieto mountain. Due to the quantity we can observe guanacos, ñandu and condor, also it is important to mention that in the park foxes, hares, chincol and the pumas as well known as “ Leon de America” exist. Inside of the park we are going to see the Pehoe and Nordenskjold lakes and its predominant turquoise blue colour, waterfalls, glaciers covering mountains. We will walk 15 minutes to get in the “Salto Grande” waterfall Then we are going to enjoy our lunch. Subsequently, we will continue and we will drive you to the Grey Glacier where you could observe entirely it and you can walk by the riverside and return to Puerto Natales by the same road or well to take the new route to Puerto natales and finally we will drop you off back at your selected hotel.

The Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers are located inside Bernardo O’Higgins National Park, which is located 31 miles to the Northwest of Puerto Natales and it is part of the Andean mountain range. Visiting the park is the meaning of a wonderful place, untouched by humans. Its access is only by boat, sailing through the Ultima Esperanza Fiord. Its name is owed for being the “Last hope” to find the Strait of Magellan in 1557, for a expedition that came from the Pacific Ocean. The trip begins in puerto natales and on the way can be seen the building that belonged to “Frigorifico Bories”, which was one of the largest meat packing plants in Patagonia, also can be seen a little colony of Cormorants and a little colony of Sea lions. The flora is dominated by different species of beech trees, Calafate, Chilco and Canelo among others.
