Get your heart pounding by taking a zip line ride through the Cloud forest canopy. Among the dozens of options, definitely the best is Sky Trek, where you’ll whizz along 1.7 miles of cables slung between towering trees. To get to the zip line, you’ll ride the Sky Tram (included in the Sky Trek experience), which offers panoramic views of Monteverde hills and Nicoya gulf Sky Trek zip line is considered the safest in Costa Rica. Combination tours are available with Skywalk (Suspended Bridges/Hanging Bridges) and with Sky Trek (Zip lines) and Sky Tram (Cable Car). Note also that the zip lines and tram are complementary: you cannot do just the zip lines.

You will ride an open-air gondola from the ground to the heights where you’ll be dropped off at an observation area for fantastic views of the gulf and cloud forest. From this area, choose to return to the ground below by riding the gondola back down or opt for a faster trip by riding down on a zip line stretching across canyons and between treetops, the exhilarating adventure of zip lining down the mountainside begins, ultimately returning you to the starting point at the main building.This is the most thrilling zip line in the country.

Canopy tours, are pioneered in Monteverde, they use techniques developed by caves and canyon repellers to let visitors experience the rainforest from a bird’s-eye view. You’ll whiz from lofty platform to platform via horizontal traverse cables. Our two-hour tours run it’s definitely a thrill.

Sky Trek is the top of the line of Canopy Tours, because it incorporates some significant differences, such as superior breaking systems, wider steel platforms, highly trained staff.

<strong>Sky Tram</strong>
The Sky Tram ends in a wide obsa height of 1770 meters from the water level also call the Continental Devide of waters (The mountain range that divides the waters that goes to the Atlantic or the Pacific).

You may stay as long as you wish on this area admiring the Nicoya gulf, Arenal volcano, the lake, the mountain range and the cloud forest, you may also take a short walk with our naturalist guides. This tour is a full age tour, even for people with some disability, thanks to the space of our gondolas that fit a wheelchair inside, without folding it.

Once in the top you can choose between two options, the first is to ride back down, on the Sky Tram. On the ride you will be able to notice how the vegetation varies as the altitude changes once again.
You can also opt for the more adventurous route back which is to zip your way to the bottom along the fast moving Sky Trek canopy tour zip lines, the best option for those seeking a rush of adrenaline.

<strong>Sky Walk</strong>
Half way between the town of Santa Elena and the Santa Elena Preserve the Sky Walk is located: This complex use trails, suspension bridges for a more tranquil introduction of the flora and fauna of the forest canopy, constructed within the cloud forest. It allows a vision of the forest from a different perspective which starts with a walk on the ground taking you up to explore the treetops, a hardly discovered habitat, called the “canopy” with a naturalist guide. If you want to enjoy a complete new wildlife experience we recommend you the Sky Walk Night tour that departs at 5:00 PM. Groups can be no larger than ten people.
Until recently, little was known about life in the tops of tropical forests, as it was nearly impossible to get so high. Early explorers used ropes and pulleys or ladders carved into tree trunks to make their way up. Today, biologists explore the forest canopy using towers, suspension bridges and construction cranes.
